(Acrochordons)

Benign soft skin lesions that hang by a small stalk. They are very common and are NOT contagious.

Soft and flexible texture

Filiform Warts

Elongated warts caused by HPV

Lesions shaped like a thread or filament protruding from the skin. Unlike skin tags, these ARE caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and can be contagious.

Features

Elongated shape like a thread or finger
Firmer texture than skin tags
Skin-colored, grayish, or light brown
Size: generally less than 5mm

Face (around eyes and mouth)

NOTE: Filiform warts are contagious. They can spread to other parts of your body or other people. Do not try to remove them at home.

Seborrheic Keratosis

Dark, waxy lesions of age

Benign skin tumors that typically appear after age 40. They have a waxy or "stuck-on" appearance. They are NOT caused by viruses and are NOT contagious.

Waxy appearance, like stuck on the skin
Smooth or rough surface
Color: light tan, brown, black, or yellowish
Well-defined borders, variable size

We Resolve Your Doubts

Local anesthesia is applied. You may feel slight discomfort, but it is very tolerable.

With proper technique, scarring is minimal. CO2 Laser has the best cosmetic results.

The ones we remove do not return in the same place. However: skin tags can appear in other areas if there is insulin resistance; filiform warts can recur if the immune system does not control HPV; seborrheic keratosis can appear in new areas due to genetics.
